Background
The United States Army is planning to justify brand name(s) requirement to procure Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning (HVAC) chillers from specific manufacturers for Continental United States (CONUS), Alaska, and Hawaii U.S. Army garrisons to support new construction, sustainment, restoration, and modernization of Army facilities. The action is taken in accordance with Army Facility and Construction Category Management Policy and Installation Management Command (IMCOM) designation as Facilities Category Lead for the Army. The Facilities Category Manager has determined an enterprise-wide standardization to be in the best interest of the Army for the use of a chiller from select manufacturers for IMCOM Army garrisons for both replacement of and new HVAC installations.

Work Details
The U.S. Government highly encourages all interested businesses (large and small) to respond to this sources sought synopsis. Small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories, must describe their identifying capabilities in meeting the requirements at a fair market price.

The U.S. Army Installation Management Command requests specific brand name manufacturers of HVAC chillers for lifecycle replacement and new installation at Army garrisons located in the CONUS, Alaska, and Hawaii. By reducing the number of different chiller manufacturers in the inventory and limiting chiller acquisition to a smaller select number of four manufacturers (consisting of Trane, Carrier, Daikin/McQuay, and York which currently comprise 91% of the existing chiller inventory) the Army can achieve greater cost efficiency and lower the total cost of ownership over the 10-15 year life expectancy.

Period of Performance
Responses to this sources sought notice shall be submitted on or before 1200PM CDT on 15 July 2022.

Place of Performance
The product will be delivered to Continental United States (CONUS), Alaska, and Hawaii U.S. Army garrisons.
