Background
The purpose of this non-R&D acquisition is to continue activities for NCI's Cancer Information Service (CIS) and provide scientifically based, unbiased information about all aspects of cancer to patients, their families and friends, physicians, and other health professionals, and the public. The type of information includes cancer research and clinical trials; cancer prevention; risk factors; symptoms; early detection; diagnosis; treatment; living with cancer; survivorship; and tobacco and cessation counseling.

Work Details
The Contractor shall operate the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Contact Center, also known as NCI’s Cancer Information Service (CIS), by responding to inquiries on behalf of NCI, an essential part of NCI’s cancer education and information efforts. The Contractor shall provide scientifically based, unbiased information to patients, their families and friends, physicians, and other health professionals and the public about all aspects of cancer. The type of information includes cancer research and clinical trials, cancer prevention, risk factors, symptoms, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, living with cancer, survivorship, and tobacco and cessation counseling. The Contractor shall also provide information about NCI programs/grants to researchers/investigators and specialists to address first tier questions of the research community. The Contractor shall provide and manage a bilingual (English and Spanish) omni-channel Contact Center.
