The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements to provide support and sustainment for AN/ASQ-230 in support of the USAF U-2 aircraft. See attachment for more details.

Background
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to provide support and sustainment for the AN/ASQ-230 system in support of the USAF U-2 aircraft.

The goal is to ensure that contractors can meet qualification requirements for depot-level repair and full sustainment support of all U-2 ASQ-230 unique hardware and software components.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
1. Depot-level repair and full depot sustainment support of U-2 ASQ-230 unique hardware/software components.
2. Providing technical reach back lines of communication for addressing technical/engineering issues affecting system performance.
3. Total material management for all associated U-2 ASQ-230 unique hardware and consumable components, requiring AF Material Command (AFMC) certification as a Contractor-Inventory Control Point (C-ICP).
4. Establishing full asset visibility of all U-2 ASQ-230 unique components.
5. Storing serviceable retail U-2 ASQ-230 components in base supply units and serviceable wholesale spares in contractor/subcontractor facilities.
6. Supplying U-2 ASQ-230 unique consumables for bench stock and Consumable Readiness Support Package (CRSP) requirements at all operating locations.
7. Ensuring no changes are made to the original design or functional capabilities without Government authorization.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate capabilities in depot-level repair and sustainment of U-2 ASQ-230 systems, including having AFMC certification as a Contractor-Inventory Control Point (C-ICP).

They should also have experience with military systems similar to the AN/ASQ-230, possess necessary Facility Security Clearances (FCL), and have quality assurance processes in place.
