Description

This document provides the description of a requirement for modular buildings in support of the hurricane recovery effort at Tyndall Air Force Base (AFB). On 10 October 2018, Hurricane Michael made landfall at Mexico Beach just to the east of the base. Offerors are authorized to round up gross square feet based on standard, off the shelve sizes of office trailers/facilities as long as the minimum space for personnel under each requirement is met. Phase III facilities are indicated on each siting picture. A separate Utility Installation Contractor will be installing utilities up to a demarcation point adjacent to the locations of the buildings. The Modular Building Supplier will connect from the building to the point of demarcation. The Modular Contractor will be required to do routine maintenance and repair for the facilities. Maintenance and repair include such items as, but not limited to, manufacturer's required maintenance for HVAC systems, fixing a door lock which breaks, repairing or replacing floor tiles or carpet, etc. In addition, the contractor shall provide maintenance as needed for broken or worn-out items that are the result of normal wear and tear. - If a utility such as HVAC or electrical breaks the Contractor must have maintenance personnel on site, the same day to start working on the repair. - If a door lock malfunctions the Contractor must have maintenance personnel on site, the same day to repair. - If a finish item such as a floor tile or carpet needs to be replaced the Contractor must have maintenance personnel on site within three working days to repair. The Modular Contractor, in their proposal, will provide a plan to provide and replace keys to the facilities. The contractor shall provide maintenance of facilities in their lease pricing.
