Background
The project is issued by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, specifically for the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge in Cameron County, Texas. Work Details
The scope of work includes full-depth reclamation of the existing driving surface which consists of chip seal material and gravel. After reclamation, a new aggregate surface course will be added to ensure a consistent driving surface width.

Additional tasks include:
- Installation of an aluminum gate
- A small concrete pad
- Safety improvement signs
- Speed bumps

There are three alternate bid items for aggregate surface course:
- Alternate 1 involves adding 2 inches of aggregate to Bayside Drive and Steve Thompson Wildlife Drive terminating at Renee’s Overlook Parking Area;
- Alternate 2 involves adding 2 inches of aggregate to both drives;
- Alternate 3 involves adding 3 inches of aggregate to both drives terminating at Renee’s Overlook Parking Area.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified duration.

Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge, Cameron County, Texas.
