Two-Phase Design Build MATOC IDIQ for Healthcare Facilities in Support of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) ? Southern Region   4

Background
This contract is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, in support of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Program. The goal is to provide a full range of design-build, repair, and construction services for healthcare and medical research facilities primarily at military installations across the Southern Region of the United States, which includes states like Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Caribbean territories.

The contract aims to ensure quick and cost-effective responses to requirements for DHA facilities.

Work Details
The contract encompasses a wide array of construction tasks including renovation, repair, and new construction services for various types of medical facilities such as medical centers, community hospitals, medical clinics, dental treatment facilities, veterinary treatment facilities, medical office buildings, medical research laboratories, and medical warehouses.

Specific tasks may involve:
- Work inside both permanent and temporary facilities.
- Addressing life safety-related building systems critical to The Joint Commission (TJC) standards including medical gases and emergency power.
- Providing transition space for temporary relocation during projects.
- Exterior work related to parking lots and utilities.
- Compliance with various health and safety standards including infection control measures during work in occupied facilities.
- Preparation of an Accident Prevention Plan and/or Site Specific Health and Safety Plan as required by Task Orders.

Period of Performance
The term of the contract is five years from the date of award.

Place of Performance
Work will be performed at military installations or other DoD and Federal Government sites within the Southern Region of the United States.
