TVHS AC VRF System Installation

Background
The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) is seeking to enhance its HVAC capabilities at the Nashville Campus by replacing outdated air handling units with a modern Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system. This initiative aims to prevent system failures and ensure efficient climate control in critical healthcare environments. The contract is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1) Remove existing condenser and three Air Handling Units (AHUs).

2) Install a new VRF condenser, branch box, and five AHUs.

3) Run new line sets and electrical connections.

4) Charge the system with refrigerant.

5) Start up the system and verify proper operation.

The installation will occur during regular business hours, and warranties include one year for parts, seven years for the compressor, and one year for workmanship. A complete written report detailing work performed must be submitted within ten working days of completion.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance is from November 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be verified as Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) in the SBA Small Business Search database. Contractors must possess all necessary licenses and permits to perform HVAC work and provide evidence of technical training and experience in similar projects. Additionally, contractors are required to have appropriate bonding and insurance.
