Background
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is issuing this Request for Quotation (RFQ) under solicitation number 80GRC025Q0001 for the procurement of Turbine Propulsion Simulator (TPS) Units, specifically Wind Tunnel Propfan Turbine Air Motors (TAMs).

The goal of this contract is to acquire four turbine air motors for propulsion-airframe integration testing in the Ames Research Center's 11x11 Foot Unitary Plan Wind Tunnel. This procurement aims to enhance aerodynamic performance testing at high-speed/cruise conditions, leveraging tailored commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions from qualified vendors.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide four (4) turbine air motors (TAMs), consisting of two primary units and two backup units. The TAMs must meet the following specifications:
- Capable of testing isolated and installed propulsor engines.
- Able to perform tests in upright and inverted configurations.
- Compatible with multiple wind tunnel facilities featuring appropriate power sources (electric, pneumatic, hydraulic).
- Designed to be compact with high power density.
- Reversible operation to simulate both tractor and pusher engines.
- Capability to simulate single or contra-rotating fans.
- Must allow locked operation to simulate feathered blades.

Delivery is required within 18 months after receipt of order, with delivery terms specified as free on board (FOB) Destination.

Period of Performance
18 months from the award of the contract.
