Tucson Area Office Doors and Locks   2

Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment and materials needed to install exterior doors and commercial locks. This includes five doors and eleven weatherproof electronic commercial locks with keypads. The contractor shall replace five of the current doors. Install weatherproof electronic commercial locks with keypads on eleven external doors. This also includes removal of old doors and or materials.

The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this requirment is 238350. The solicitation will be awarded as a single award firm-fixed price type contract. The location where the work will be performed, will be at theTucson Area Indian Health Service (TAIHS) as specified in the Statement of Work (SOW). The Period of Performance TBD.

An organized site visit has been scheduled for March 9, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. Mountain Standard Time. Participants will meet at Building SX-5 please park in the North parking lot, which is the lot right past the Security Guard Shack. It would be very beneficial to attend the site visit to view the existing doors as the buildings were built in 1938.

Masks must be worn at all times during site visit.

Background
The Tucson Area Office of the Indian Health Service (IHS) is seeking to enhance personnel security by upgrading or replacing eleven exterior doors in six buildings on the San Xavier campus. This initiative is in response to IHS's direction regarding emergency management and violence in the workplace, with a focus on safeguarding employees.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the purchase and installation of enhanced door locks and replacement of exterior doors with glass windows. The project involves the installation of weatherproof electronic commercial door locks with keypads on each of the eleven doors, including five replacements. Additionally, the project requires the installation of 5 metal exit commercial doors within existing door frames, or suitable alternatives if metal doors are not available in the required size. The installation also involves removal and disposal of 5 doors being replaced. The project also includes the installation of 11 weatherproof commercial door locks with internal and external levers.
