Tsaile Health Center needs (1) Family Practice Physician nonpersonal service

Background
The Indian Health Service (IHS) is an agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, responsible for providing federal health services to American Indians and Alaska Natives. The IHS aims to ensure that comprehensive, culturally acceptable personal and public health services are available and accessible to these populations.

The Navajo Area Indian Health Services (NAIHS) administers health centers and hospitals serving approximately 244,209 members of the Navajo Nation, which is the largest Indian tribe in the U.S. The Tsaile Health Center (THC), part of the Chinle Service Unit, provides healthcare to around 9,031 Navajo patients in a rural area of Northeast Arizona. This contract seeks a Family Practice Physician to support the mission of IHS by delivering non-personal service healthcare at THC.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide outpatient Family Practice Physician Services including:
1. Delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with performance-based requirements.
2. Ensuring consistent staffing by identifying qualified physicians within 60 days of any vacancy.
3. Maintaining complete and accurate patient medical records including consultations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and medications.
4. Adapting to THC’s practice environment and collaborating effectively with other healthcare staff.
5. Supporting the mission of CSU by enhancing service delivery and resolving operational inefficiencies.
6. Providing documentation demonstrating competencies and experience in delivering Family Practice services.
7. Ensuring compliance with all applicable care standards and contractual requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract will accommodate short-term (13 weeks), long-term (1 year to 3 years), and intermittent requirements as necessary.
