Treatment and destruction of PFAS in wastewater and other waste streams

Technologies should be field deployable and should be able to remove or destroy PFAS in relevant waste streams including, but not limited to, leachate, wastewater, RO concentrates, ion exchange regenerant solutions, and spent activated carbon and ion exchange resins. Ideally, technologies could operate at flow rates appropriate to field application, and all residual or emission streams should be evaluated to assure the PFAS is permanently sequestered or destroyed, and that the stream can be appropriately managed. Products of incomplete destruction should be included to be studied in the project. All technologies should consider their lifecycle impacts including energy efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions, use of chemicals, and waste generation.
