Description

Requirement for approximately 55 swine (Domestic & Yucatan) between the sizes of 0-70 kg per fiscal year to Travis AFB.

Vendor requirements:

  • Vendor must be closed colony licensed by USDA as referenced by Animal Welfare Act and Animal Welfare Regulations (usda.gov)
  • Provide swine (male or female) of breed, weight, and number specified per order and delivery
  • Provide swine that are free of overt signs of disease or malformation, to include, pneumonia, diarrhea, and/or internal and external parasites
  • Swine must be vaccinated against common swine pathogens
  • Vendor must provide vaccination history/record upon delivery
  • Swine will not be interbred or deformed
  • Vendor will transport swine in an environment controlled transportation that does not jeopardize the animals temperament
  • Travel time for delivery will not exceed 12hrs
  • If swine is found to have any abnormalities/disease vendor will provide replacement of infected swine within 3 days.
