Trash Rack Debris Removal, Knightville Dam, Huntington, MA   2

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - New England District is issuing a solicitation for the Trash Rack Debris Removal project at Knightville Dam in Huntington, MA. The mission of the Corps is to provide vital public engineering services in peace and war to strengthen the nation’s security, energize the economy, and reduce risks from disasters. The goal of this contract is to ensure the effective removal of debris from critical infrastructure to maintain operational efficiency and safety.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to remove debris from the trash rack structure, concrete skirt, and entire raking platform at Knightville Dam. This includes:
1. Cleaning approximately 90% of all debris/materials obstructing the trash rack structure down to the bottom of the concrete skirt.
2. Proper disposal of all debris removed from Government property.
3. Compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) which outlines safety requirements, including adherence to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Occupational Health Requirements (EM 385-1-1) and OSHA regulations.
4. Preparation and submission of an Accident Prevention Plan (APP), Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA), Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) Designation Letter, Certificate of Compliance for Load Handling Equipment (LHE), Critical Lift Plan if applicable, Fall Protection Plan, and First Aid/CPR certifications within 30 days post-award.
5. Daily safety meetings and documentation as required by safety protocols.

Period of Performance
The work will commence upon contract award and is expected to be completed by November 21, 2025. The project area will be accessible Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
