Background
The Tower technician services at West Branch IA (WBI) tower requirement is issued by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to support their scientific program requirements. The goal of the contract is to ensure the continued measurement of atmospheric air quality through a GML tower-based atmospheric air collection system, which is critical for maintaining the measurement time series necessary for environmental research.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for carrying out atmospheric air sampling from a GML tower-based atmospheric air collection system and associated meteorological instruments. The air samples are to be collected from the GML Global Greenhouse Gas Reference Network site at the West Branch IA (WBI) tower. The contractor must ensure that all supplies and services are compatible with existing systems or equipment, as the University of Iowa has been uniquely qualified to meet these requirements due to their technical and scientific expertise. The contractor must also maintain the measurement time series from the tower site as part of NOAA's scientific program requirements.
