Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue one Request for Proposal (RFP) for two competitively awarded CPIF contracts for engineering services to perform MK48 Heavyweight Torpedo maintenance at the Pearl Harbor IMA, and for the Progressive Depot Level Repair (PDLR) and Training Facility at the Yorktown IMA. Each contract will have a 90 day transition period followed by a nine months base option period and four one year option periods. The contract for the Pearl Harbor IMA contract will be for approximately 99 man-years of effort/year and the Yorktown IMA will be for approximately 30 man-years of effort/year.

The Navy's Heavyweight Torpedo IMAs provide the Commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet (COMSUBLANT) and the Commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMSUBPAC) with MK 48 exercise and warshot torpedoes to meet Fleet operational readiness, training, and tactical commitments.

The objective of these contract(s) is to provide the skills and knowledge required to support MK 48 torpedo and test equipment maintenance, production, planning, systems engineering support and failure analysis and support of each IMA in normal torpedo maintenance.

NAVSEA intends to issue a Request for Proposal in the 2nd quarter of FY 2017.
