1. This solicitation is intended to result in the award of a single requirements contract for the estimated supplies specified. The resulting contract will establish pricing to be utilized through issuance of delivery orders for discrete quantities for the period stated in the schedule. The Government bears no responsibility to issue an initial minimum order upon base contract award. Notes/Description:

A. PLACE KIT ITEMS IN CASE AND WRAP CASE / FILL VOID WITH WRAP.

B. CLOSE CONTAINER IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM-D1974, METHOD 2B3.

C. LEVEL A: PACKING SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED USING A CLEATED PLYWOOD BOX, CONFORMING TO ASTM-D6251, TYPE III, CLASS 1. LEVEL B: THE UNIT CONTAINER IS AN ACCEPTABLE LEVEL B SHIPPING CONTAINER WHEN SEALED AND REINFORCED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM-D1974, METHOD 2C OR 2D. FOR BOTH LEVEL A AND LEVEL B, WHEN THE TOTAL QUANTITY TO BE SHIPPED TO THE SAME DESTINATION EXCEEDS 125 POUNDS, EXTERIOR PACKS WITHOUT SKIDS SHALL BE PALLETIZED. MIL-HDBK-774 MAY BE USED FOR GUIDANCE.

D. INSPECT THE PRESERVATION, THE UNIT PACK AND THE PACKING IN ACCORDANCE WITH MIL-STD-2073-1D AND THE APPLICABLE CONTAINER SPECIFICATION.
