Description: The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is hosting a TMFJB Parking Garage Renovation Contract Industry Day on April 20, 2016, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building -Mecham Conference Center. This event is for businesses interested in working on projects with the AOC and is designed to provide information about doing business with the AOC. The AOC plans to issue a single construction contract for this project. The TMFJB Parking Garage Renovation Industry Day is free and open to any business and reservations are recommended by Wednesday, April 13. Please e-mail aocprocurement@aoc.gov if you would like to attend. (You do not need to be present to submit for this contract).

The AOC is responsible for the maintenance, operation, development, and preservation of 17.4 million square feet of buildings and more than 553 acres of land throughout the U.S. Capitol complex in Washington, DC. The AOC has a need to maintain and repair the buildings, building structures and grounds of the U.S. Capitol complex, including the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building; conserve and repair historical objects and artwork; and support the overall functions of the AOC as a Legislative Branch agency.
The TMFJB Parking Garage Renovation Construction Contractor shall provide construction services including the renovation of two levels of the building garage and water intrusion repairs. The work includes the repair of delaminations, top coating, concrete seals, crack patching, new painting, signage, life safety upgrades, replacing the sprinkler and mechanical ventilation systems, additional heating, electrical distribution modifications, and new lighting. The work will be performed at Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Center, One Columbus Circle, N.E., District of Columbia 20544.
