Background
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) intends to purchase aerospace grade titanium ingots as stated in throughout this solicitation. Titanium is a metallic element known for its high-strength-to-weight ratio and excellent corrosion resistance, making it ideal for jet engines, airframes, maritime, and industrial applications. The procurement of titanium is authorized by the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide 1,960.65 MT of Ti6-4 and 1,007.98 MT of Ti6-4 ELI in ingot form only. The ingots shall meet specific compositions for aluminum, vanadium, iron, oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, yttrium, residual elements each, residual elements total, and titanium. Each individual ingot shall weigh no more than 25,000 lbs. and be between 30 inches and 42 inches in diameter and between 8.3 feet and 19 feet in length.
The material must be non-radioactive and non-licensable per Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations.

Period of Performance
The Period of Performance for this requirement is a 24-month Base Period.

Place of Performance
The product will be delivered to DCSO Fort Belvoir at 8725 John J Kingman Road Suite 1145 DCSO Fort Belvoir VA 22060-6223 US.
