Background
The solicitation is for a time charter for a breakbulk container ship vessel. The charter, when awarded, will consist of the completed Standard Form (SF) 1449, this Preamble, and Parts I through IX. The signature of the Contracting Officer on SF 1449 signifies acceptance of the Contractor’s proposal and award of the Charter.

Work Details
The work involves providing a vessel and associated equipment that are seaworthy, properly manned and trained, equipped, supplied, and suitable for the service contemplated under the Charter Party. The Contractor shall install a decontamination station as depicted in MSC Plan No. STD-802-4844759 contained in COMSCINST 3541.5 Series, Part 1, Appendix C “CBR-D Policy”. This plan is to be used as guidance for all future installations and upgrades unless it is superseded by new technical developments and specifications from the Navy/Government experts and approved by COMSC.

Period of Performance
The contract consists of one 365-day firm period with three 1-year option periods and one 334-day period. The laydays commence on June 23, 2022, and cancel on September 9, 2022.

Place of Performance
The place of delivery is Far East/Indian Ocean with the intention to deliver at a port in Chop (intention Singapore). The place of redelivery is also Far East/Indian Ocean with the intention to redeliver at a port in Chop (intention Singapore).
