Description

Background
NASA/NSSC has a requirement for ThermoCalc Software Maintenance & Support. The agency intends to issue a sole source contract to ThermoCalc Software Inc., which has been determined to be the sole provider of these services. NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort, and the performance will take place at NASA/ Glenn Research Center (GRC).

Work Details
The contractor shall provide maintenance and support for ThermoCalc software, including the following tasks:

1. Maintenance & Support Renewal for 2026, including 3 Thermo-Calc Network Licenses (NWL) and 1 TC-Python NWL.
2. Maintenance & Support Renewal for 2027, including 3 TC NWLs and 1 TC-Python NWL.
3. Optional database upgrades from TCOX13 to TCOX15, TCHEA to TCHEA8, TCFE13 to TCFE15, and TCNI12 to TCN13.
4. Provide download instructions where necessary.
5. Offer support/maintenance and answers to questions in running code.
6. Provide support if licenses need to be moved to alternative machines.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must reference the notice ID when submitting a capability statement. There are no specific security clearances or certifications mentioned; however, only ThermoCalc Software Inc. is recognized as the sole provider for this maintenance and support.

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for ThermoCalc Software Maintenance & Support.

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to THERMO-CALC SOFTWARE INC. 4160 Washington RD STE 230 Canonsburg, Pennsylvania 15317-2533, United States under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that THERMO-CALC SOFTWARE INC. is the sole provider of ThermoCalc Software Maintenance & Support.

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Glenn Research Center (GRC).

The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541519.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 10/16/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

NOTE: Quotes received in response to this notice will NOT be considered and will not be evaluated by NASA's Technical End User Team. We are currently only requesting Capability Statements.
