Background
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Pacific West Area Office has a construction requirement for a laboratory remodel at the San Joaquin Valley Agricultural Sciences Center located at 9611 S Riverbend Ave, Parlier, CA 93648.

The goal of this contract is to enhance research capabilities by renovating an existing laboratory space that currently houses non-functional walk-in growth units.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all labor, supervision, tools, and materials necessary to complete the lab retrofit and remodel project. Key tasks include:
- Dismantling and removing three existing walk-in growth units along with all old controllers and equipment.
- Capping the power source in accordance with code.
- Removing fire sprinkler heads to facilitate the removal of the walk-in units.
- Disposing of all demolition material.
- Installing a new T-Bar ceiling to fill the space previously occupied by the walk-in boxes.
- Removing existing flooring in the lab, preparing and sealing concrete, and installing new flooring (noting that it will not match existing due to age). The flooring must be approved by USDA prior to installation.
- Extending lighting circuits to provide adequate lighting in the newly created space where the walk-in boxes were removed.

Period of Performance
90 calendar days after notice to proceed.
