Background
The U.S. Consulate in Cape Town is seeking to procure janitorial services for real property owned by the U.S. Government. Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel to fulfill the contract requirements effectively. The scope of work includes janitorial services in designated areas such as halls, offices, restrooms, work areas, entrances, lobbies, elevators, and stairways.

Specific tasks include: daily cleaning requirements such as sweeping and mopping floors, dusting and cleaning furniture, vacuuming carpets, thorough cleaning of bathrooms and kitchens, emptying waste receptacles, and maintaining cleanliness in common areas. Additionally, periodic cleaning tasks will include polishing brass surfaces, spot cleaning walls and baseboards, shampooing carpets as needed, and washing windows quarterly. Temporary additional services may also be required for special events at the consulate.

Period of Performance
The anticipated performance period includes a base year with four one-year option periods. The initial performance period will commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed following contract award.
