Background
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of a bridge at Teton Canyon, located in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest in Idaho.

The goal of this contract is to enhance infrastructure by replacing an existing bridge, thereby improving access and safety for users of the Sheep Bridge Trail. This project is part of the agency's mission to manage and protect national forests and grasslands.

Work Details
The construction project involves several key tasks:

- Removal of the current bridge over Teton Creek on the Sheep Bridge Trail;
- Design, fabrication, and installation of a new bridge;
- Construction of approaches to the new bridge;
- Removal of fill and abutment debris from a prior bridge;
- Recontouring stream banks to match upstream and downstream conditions.

Additionally, there are two option line items:
- Option Line Item 0002 includes the design, fabrication, and delivery of a 90-foot prefabricated steel pedestrian bridge;
- Option Line Item 0003 covers the installation of this pedestrian bridge.

The project also includes mobilization with crane services, soil erosion and pollution control measures, excavation and embankment work, structure excavation and backfill, geocell abutment stabilization, fabrication and installation of precast concrete grade beams, and installation of an underhung truss bridge superstructure.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from September 30, 2024, to November 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will take place at Teton Canyon within the Caribou-Targhee National Forest in Driggs, Idaho.
