Test Surge and Data Sharing Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Solicitation   12

The purpose of this contract is to improve the efficiency and accuracy of laboratory testing and the situational awareness provided by use of laboratory data during and outside of public health emergencies (PHE), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) aims to enhance laboratory quality, science, and data reporting by improving specific laboratory processes and data sharing between internal and external partners. These enhancements should strengthen our national laboratory system to support readiness and response activities at all levels of public health and across multiple pathogen and condition types, both current and novel.

Background
The purpose of this contract is to improve the efficiency and accuracy of laboratory testing and the situational awareness provided by use of laboratory data during and outside of public health emergencies (PHE). The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) aims to enhance laboratory quality, science, and data reporting by improving specific laboratory processes and data sharing between internal and external partners. These enhancements should strengthen our national laboratory system to support readiness and response activities at all levels of public health and across multiple pathogen and condition types, both current and novel.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide various services including establishing 'warm base' testing capability, surge diagnostic testing, specimen collection, data transmission, technical assistance, travel, equipment purchase, and other related tasks. The contractor must also provide order and result data for all Nationally Notifiable Conditions and jurisdiction-specified Reportable Conditions as mutually agreed upon by CDC and the contractor. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for providing line-level laboratory order and result findings that include mutually agreed upon patient demographic and test-related data elements. The contract also includes provisions for analytics, dissemination of data, reports or data visualizations for public dissemination.

Period of Performance
The period of performance (POP)/ordering period is from September 23, 2024, to September 22, 2029.

Place of Performance
The work under this contract is anticipated to be performed primarily off-site.
