Term Sale for Mixed Scrap Steel at NAWs China Lake

Background
The Navy Region Southwest Qualified Recycling Program (QRP) is issuing an invitation to bid on the Term Sale of Mixed Scrap Steel. The program is located at Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake in Ridgecrest, California. The QRP aims to sell various scrap steel items including pipe, reels, shelving, lockers, angle iron, plate, vehicle parts, hardware, cuttings, and other miscellaneous parts and pieces. The historical data indicates approximately 148 gross tons are generated per year. The agreement period for Item 001 is one calendar year from the start date with potentially four one-year renewals.

Work Details
The contract involves the sale of mixed scrap steel at Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake. The category includes various items such as pipe, reels, shelving, lockers, angle iron, plate, vehicle parts, hardware, cuttings, and California appliances. California appliances will be segregated on site at NAWS China Lake for separate pick-up. Approximately 148 gross tons are generated per year.
A minimum of 10 roll-offs will need to be on site on a permanent basis and another 1-5 available to be spotted at various locations on a temporary basis upon request. Bids are due no later than 2:00 PM Pacific Time on January 31st, 2024.

Period of Performance
The agreement period for Item 001 is one calendar year from the start date with potentially four one-year renewals.

The work will be performed at Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake in Ridgecrest, California.
