Tenkiller Hydropower Excitation System Replacement

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) - Tulsa District (SWT) is conducting market research for an anticipated construction contract related to the replacement of excitation systems at the Tenkiller Ferry Powerhouse in Oklahoma. This project aims to address the aging excitation systems, which are no longer supported with spare parts or operational maintenance.

The contract will involve significant engineering and construction work to ensure the reliability and efficiency of power generation at this facility.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Design, prepare drawings and data, manufacture, shop test, prepare and load for shipment, and deliver two (2) digital static excitation systems for the Tenkiller Ferry Powerhouse, including power potential transformers for each system.
- Remove two (2) existing excitation systems along with all associated cabinets and equipment as specified.
- Install, test, commission, and make ready for commercial operation two (2) new excitation systems, including necessary floor repairs and installation of wire, cable, bus, conduit, meters, switches, and all other required appurtenances.
- Conduct equipment model validation tests for both units and prepare test reports as specified.
- Provide final Operation and Maintenance documentation and as-built drawings as specified.
- Perform collector ring inspection and optional refurbishment if approved by the Government.
- Furnish and install new safety railings on top of the generator housing and on the Generator floor at elevation 518.0 feet as per design specifications.
- Execute all necessary concrete demolition and repair as required.
- Anchor all new equipment as required.
