The Bureau of Prisons, FCC Petersburg, intends to make a single award of a firm fixed price to a qualified entity to provide temporary Mid -Level practitioner services (120 days) to (2) two Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners for Federal adults in custody of the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC), Petersburg, VA.

The work schedule will normally consist of eight (8) one-hour sessions per week. Specific days and hours will be subject to mutual agreement between the Health Services Administrator (HSA) and the Contractor. Services will normally be performed between 7:30 a.m . and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday excluding Federal Holidays. The schedule services will include a thirty-minute unpaid lunch break. A session is defined as one-hour duration. Planned days off or planned sick days (appointments) shall be coordinated through the HSA or Contractor Officer Representative (COR). The contractor and HSA will develop the schedule.

The goal is to provide healthcare services through two Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners at the Federal Correctional Complex in Petersburg, VA.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a range of medical services including:
- Collaborating with staff physicians in planning and evaluating healthcare programs.
- Recognizing early signs of serious physical or mental health issues.
- Managing daily clinic operations and conducting sick calls.
- Providing emergency services and performing minor surgical procedures.
- Prescribing medications and managing chronic health problems.
- Establishing diagnostic impressions and requesting appropriate tests.
- Evaluating total healthcare needs and developing care plans.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with health standards.

The contractor must adapt to policies from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and the Bureau of Prisons (BOP).

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 120 days.
