Background
The Long Beach Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (LBVAHCS) has a requirement for Temporary Professional Staffing Services to augment its current staff in the Medical and Engineering Departments.

This solicitation is a total Service Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside aimed at ensuring that the Veterans Affairs (VA) does not experience a skills gap. The contract is intended to support various positions critical to the operations of the LBVAHCS.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Temporary Professional Staffing Services across multiple functional areas. The services include:
1. Providing personnel for positions such as Interior Designer, Junior Interior Designer, Medical Equipment Planner, General Engineer, Administrative Assistant, Program Analyst, and Drafter.
2. Staff Contractors will work with Capital Development, Projects & Construction, Business Management, and Maintenance & Operations sections, reporting to respective Section Supervisors.
3. Responsibilities include independently planning and executing tasks to meet Engineering Department objectives.
4. The contractor must provide all necessary personnel, training, resources, and protective gear required for task completion.
5. Contracted staff shall not perform inherently governmental functions as defined by federal regulations.
6. The VA reserves the right to interview and approve or reject Contractor personnel based on qualifications.
7. The contractor must submit qualification summaries/resumes for all proposed personnel for government review.

Period of Performance
The period of performance includes a base year with two one-year option periods.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Long Beach VA Healthcare System located at 5901 E. 7th Street, Long Beach, CA 90822.
