Background
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Field Acquisition Office intends to make a single award of a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for the provision of relief two (2) Registered Nurses (RN) for the inmates incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Waseca, MN. FCI Waseca is a Care Level 2, female facility, housing approximately 800 low-security female offenders. The services will be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution, 1000 University Drive SW, Waseca, MN, 56093, in the Health Services Department.

Work Details
The contractor must provide relief for two (2) Registered Nurses for 120 workdays within a two-year period, with the option to extend for another 120 workdays within a two-year period.
The schedule will consist of 10-hour days from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, Sunday through Saturday, excluding federal holidays on an as-needed basis. The contractor will not exceed 80 hours per two-week period and must be able to work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, regional, racial and ethnic backgrounds.
Duties include providing direct patient care services within legal, ethical, and institutional standards through evaluation of patients and therapeutic treatment as ordered by Health Services clinical staff, administering medications as prescribed, triage and complete patient assessments, among other responsibilities.

Period of Performance
The contract requires relief for two (2) Registered Nurses for 120 workdays within a two-year period with the option to extend for another 120 workdays within a two-year period.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution in Waseca, MN.
