Description

The U.S. Embassy of Tegucigalpa, Honduras has a requirement for a contractor to provide maintenance service to audiovisual equipment at the US Embassy in Tegucigalpa. The contractor shall provide the service to eliminate system malfunction, breakdown and deterioration when windows sound systems are activated and operating. Audio must be intelligible at the necessary volume and Video must be free of noise and distortion.

Please note that this is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item, prepared in accordance with the format FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued

The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm-fixed-price type contract.

The Government is planning a pre-quotation conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation.

All contractors shall be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations.

Background
The U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras is seeking a contractor to provide maintenance services for its audiovisual equipment. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the audiovisual systems, which include intercoms, paging systems, and displays, operate effectively and without malfunction. This requirement aligns with the Embassy's mission to facilitate communication between personnel and applicants for consular services.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for preventive maintenance services for the Consular Audiovisual (AV) System, which includes integrated components such as displays, video extenders, amplifiers, mixers, speakers, microphones, headsets, volume control boxes, connectors, cables, and other necessary components. The objective is to eliminate system malfunctions and ensure audio intelligibility at necessary volumes while maintaining video clarity free from noise and distortion. Specific tasks include:
- Conducting routine maintenance inspections of the AV system at teller windows.
- Providing live customer support through remote technical assistance during defined hours.
- Responding to on-demand service calls within one business day of request.
- Diagnosing malfunctions based on reports from personnel and performing necessary repairs or replacements.
- Maintaining a supply of expendable parts on-site for immediate use during maintenance visits.
- Documenting all maintenance activities and providing reports to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

Period of Performance
The contract will be for an initial period of one year with options for up to four additional one-year periods. The work is expected to commence no later than February 28, 2026.

The services will be performed at the U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
