Description

PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to issue a one-time purchase order to Patterson Pope, Inc., 3001 N. Graham St, Charlotte, NC 28206 (local office located at 3584 Lorna Ridge Dr, Birmingham, AL 35216) for the purpose of converting already existing Spacesaver box storage mobile systems installed at the Government's facility.

The FBI Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC) Evidence Management Unit (EMU) maintains the repository building, which currently has shelving installed. The current shelving does not allow for maximum storage and filing capability. The requirement includes:
Convert the existing storage system with back to back carriage and platform to double faced storage units
Provide center stops, dividers, additional shelves, and shelf supports
Convert 10 rows, 9 sections wide, 6 tiers high to legal size filing
Convert and add additional center stops and dividers for 8 rows, 4 tiers high, to legal filing

This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website (www.fbo.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 337214 Office Furniture (except wood) Manufacturing.

The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to the attention of: Kate Petek, email address: kepetek@fbi.gov NLT 1200 Noon CST 24 July 2017. Emailed responses will only be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the Government.

Vendors must be registered in SAM, effective July 29, 2012 to receive Government contracts. The FBI uses a financial system that has a direct interface with SAM. Please ensure that your company's SAM information is updated and accurate. This includes TIN, EFT, DUNS, addresses and contact information. The EFT banking information on file in SAM will be what the FBI uses to process payment to your organization.
