Technical Support Services

To provide the support and tasks necessary for a variety of current and future Technical Support Services to the Oceanographic Department in order to analyze, sustain, maintain, enhance, engineer, and integrate METOC capabilities to improve data coverage, accuracy, and relevancy and timeliness of the products and data sources that have a critical impact on naval operations. This contract will provide systems support and sustainment services to NAVOCEANO, Oceanographic Department in two key functional areas: Non-IT Oceanographic engineering and comprehensive technical documentation support compromised of physical oceanographic instrumentation and mission systems engineering, satellite data requirements, database loading and other technical processes. IT Application design, development, and maintenance support comprised of Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), Government off-the-shelf (GOTS), and Open-Source applications and software systems. These support data collection, assimilation, visualization, and distribution software/scripts, scientific computing software, rapid transitions from R&D networks to operational networks, database applications, Geospatial Information & Services (GI&S) and support for cloud transition.
