Technical Services for Aerospace Systems Modeling and Simulation (SimLabs) III - Extension

NASA/ARC intends to extend Contract 80ARC018D0008, Technical Services for Aerospace Systems Modeling and Simulation (SimLabs) III, with Metis Flight Research Associates, LLC (MFRA) on a sole source basis pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.

The period of performance will be extended for six months from June 1, 2023 through November 30, 2023.
The extension will increase the current contract value.

The extension is necessary to provide critical on-going support for the NASA/ARC Simulation Facilities pending placement of the competitive follow-on contract.

The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Nevertheless, interested organizations may submit in writing their capabilities and qualifications to perform this proposed procurement action to the identified point of contact no later than
3:00 pm PST on March 16, 2023. All responsible sources may submit their capabilities/ qualifications which shall be considered by the agency. Such capabilities/ qualifications
will be evaluated solely for the purposes of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement action on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement within the discretion of the Government.

NASA Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (NFS) Clause 1852.215-84,
