Technical Assistance on State, Tribal and Federal Child Welfare Information Systems

Background
The purpose of this contract is to secure professional technical resources to support federal efforts to provide technical assistance and guidance to state and tribal child welfare automation project and program staffs. The Children’s Bureau (CB) has identified a need for various types of technical assistance to support state, tribal and local agencies’ efforts to design, develop, implement and operate child welfare information systems. This technical assistance will assist states, tribes and local agencies to implement efficient, economical, and effective information systems that support their unique business needs and program practice models.

Work Details
The scope of this technical assistance includes, but is not limited to all aspects of information system projects such as planning, design, development, operation and maintenance, project management, use of the resulting application by state and tribal staffs, review of the application and project.
Additionally, it includes general information system guidance and current technology like system architecture, data modeling and data architecture, modular design approach, enterprise applications, quality of data, and automated data exchanges and data exchange standards.
The contractor must comply with the following constraints in its proposed approach and during the contract period of performance: Written acceptance of the restriction on participating on future State, Tribal and/or Local agency contracts for the duration of this Federal contract is required.
