Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this combined synopsis/solicitation for Courier Services to support the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH). The goal of the contract is to ensure efficient handling and transportation of various items including mail, office supplies, medical equipment, and laundry within the hospital and its associated outlying clinics in Florida.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary vehicles and personnel to perform courier services in strict accordance with the terms outlined in this solicitation. Services include transporting mail, office supplies, documents, sterile processing department items, soiled reusable medical devices, clean and soiled laundry, and other hand-carried materials.

Regular pick-ups and deliveries must be made daily from specified locations including James A. Haley VA Hospital and several outlying clinics. Services are required Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. The contractor must maintain a log of pick-up and delivery times and locations to be submitted monthly to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

Specific routes for pick-ups include clean laundry from the hospital's laundry service and inter-office mail from designated locations. Additionally, compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality is mandatory.

Period of Performance
The contract period is set from December 1, 2025, to November 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance is the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, Florida 33612, with additional services provided at associated clinics in Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties.
