Background
The project is initiated by the Jacksonville District and focuses on the construction of two new weir structures in the Dredge Material Management Area (DMMA) 3-D basin located in Hillsborough County, Florida.

The mission of this project is to enhance the management of dredged materials while ensuring compliance with environmental standards. The goal is to improve the functionality and safety of the water control structures within the harbor area.

Work Details
The construction tasks include:
- Building two new weir structures with associated concrete foundations, discharge pipes, filter drains, CLSM (Controlled Low Strength Material), helical anchors, mitered end sections, riprap outfall areas, floating platforms, gangways, and flap gates.
- Earthwork activities such as deconstruction and reconstruction of existing dikes in proximity to the new weirs.
- Repairing and stabilizing eroded sections of existing exterior dike slopes through fill placement, riprap installation, and sod application.
- Removal and replacement of a damaged gangway at existing weirs.
- Modifying an existing floating dock for proper operation.
- Conducting concrete repairs at existing weirs.
