Background
The contract is issued by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to support their mission of providing logistics, acquisition, and technical services to the military.

The goal of this contract is to procure Tail Rotor Containers that meet specific design and construction standards for use in military logistics operations.

Work Details
The contract requires the manufacturing and delivery of Tail Rotor Containers built in accordance with specified attachments and standards.

Key specifications include:
- Type: Wood Cleated Panelboard Shipping Boxes
- Type III – Plywood / Class 2 – Overseas / Style A – Standard box corner with skids
- Dimensions: 138 1/2” x 20.25” x 42.5” x 96”
- Skid Detail Options:
1) Assemble in accordance with outer dimensions on SPI #01-113-8188.
2) Bottom of container options:
a. Use 3/8” plywood.
b. Attached cleats: 1 x 3 nominal cut or built-up 1 x 4 over 2 x 4.
c. Single cut stock: 3 x 4 to length.
3) Lengths are nominal + or - 1/4”.
a. Skids measure shown on center.
b. Inset: 3¾” from each end.
4) Skid height requires nominal -2½”.
a. Built by Option A or B.
b. Front/back cut at a 45-degree angle.
5) Four filler cleats equal skid width (4” nominal).
