Description

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The basis for the sole source is that only General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) can meet the Government's schedule requirements without incurring unacceptable duplicative costs. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement in the future.

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Type purchase order to GDMS on a sole source basis. GDMS is the only capable source.

Background
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Type purchase order to General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) on a sole source basis. GDMS is the only capable source that can meet the Government's schedule requirements without incurring unacceptable duplicative costs.

The contract aims to procure the TACLANE-FLEX Customizable Encryption Platform, which is essential for secure communications.

Work Details
The contract includes the following items:
- TACLANE-FLEX Customizable Encryption Platform - 1 Gb/s Bundle, Quantity: 13. Each bundle includes:
- Fully tactical 1 Gb/s full duplex HAIPE INE with key, algorithm and protocol agility
- Agile VLAN and TTS software
- (1) RJ-45 10/100/1000 BaseT cable
- (2) 1000 Base-SX Multi Mode Pluggable Optics (LC connector)
- (1) Standard Power Adapter
- (1) Spare CIK with tag
- A 5-year hardware/software warranty
- Help Desk Support.

The delivery is required within 90 days from award.
