T-1622/ALE-55 (V ) and CV-4334/ALE-55 (V) Production   3

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a sole source, firm fixed price and cost plus fixed fee contract to BAE Systems Electronic Systems, Nashua NH, for the procurement of T-1622/ALE-55 (V)Fiber Optic Towed Decoy (FOTD) Rounds and CV-4334/ALE-55 (V) Electronic Frequency Converter (EFC) assets. This effort also includes the repair of test assets and other Government Furnished Propery, and field support for the AN/ALE-55(V). The contract will consist of one base and two options.

This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to BAE Systems in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 because BAE the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the equipment addressed in this synopsis and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. In addition, the Government lacks the drawings and technical data to permit a competitive procurement. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
