Synopsis Protective Coating and Marking Services

Background
The 316th Contracting Squadron is soliciting for Protective Coating and Markings construction services at Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Maryland.

The goal of the contract is to ensure the maintenance and enhancement of airfield and facility markings, coatings, and signage to support operational readiness and safety. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, equipment, materials, and management to complete the required tasks.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform a variety of tasks including:

- Application of protective coatings to both interior and exterior surfaces of base facilities;
- Cleaning surfaces to remove contaminants;
- Sandblasting as needed;
- Layout and striping for traffic control on airfields, streets, and parking lots using various colored paints;
- Removal of rubber and paint buildup from designated areas without damaging underlying surfaces;
- Spray painting for special requirements;
- Patching and caulking of gypsum board;
- Application/removal of vinyl-coated wall coverings;
- Manufacturing stencils and signs;
- Maintaining signs including removal/replacement of non-serviceable signs;
- Painting graphics displays ranging from 12"x12" to 25'x25' on various surfaces.

The contractor must ensure that all work complies with applicable standards and specifications.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily take place at Joint Base Andrews (JBA) as well as surrounding site complexes including Davidsonville Site and Brandywine Site.
