7. Contract Award: Contract FA9302-21-C-0011 to Aechelon Technology, 888 Brannan Street STE 210, San Francisico 94103 (performed at Edwards Air Force Base (EAFB), CA 93524, and Nellis AFB (NAFB), NV), 89191 will be awarded a $24,069,170, firm-fixed price, C-type Option contract for Image Generation Systems. Image Generators (IG) are required to support high fidelity F-35 and F-22 JSE Flight Simulation Visual Display Systems (VDS) in Joint Simulation Environment (JSE). The items listed below are required for this effort:

Thirty four (34) Image, Sensor & Radar Data Generators to supply the eleven out the window screens with graphics

Six (6) Nexus Data Center these are for the distribution of the Image Data Base to the IG's

and storage of data

Twenty (20) Image, Sensor & Radar Data Generators to supply the five out the window

screens with graphics

Eight (8) Nucleus consisting of the following major components including the Nucleus B (4-

OTW, DAS (HMD, Video, PVI1 &2)

Miscellaneous: - Training, Shipping, Installation & Integration.

This new FFP commercial requirement is to provide the following capabilities:

The image generation platform interfaces with a dome projector system to display sensor

graphics for F-35 and F-22 training or mission simulation environment.

The storage system is a centralized system used to store, replay, and build realistic combat

scenarios across DOD in tactical training, foreign-area familiarization, and mission rehearsal

applications.

Naval Air Station Patuxent River (Pax River) is currently using the Aechelon IG system in

support of the JSE project.

As a result of this purchase, the government will have a common software/hardware

configuration for all four sites; Pax River, Wright Paterson AFB, Nellis AFB and Edwards

AFB.

The work is expected to be completed by 31 Jul 2023 (31 Jul 2023 if option is exercised). This award is the result of a non-competitive, sole source acquisition as Aechelon Technology is the only manufacturer of the Nucleus and Nexus image generation hardware/software.

These integrated hardware/software systems are tailored specifically to the JSE 5th Gen fighter platforms and meet highly demanding flight test simulation and shared-environment database requirements. No other technical solution has the compatibility, commonality, or interoperability with current and proposed JSE Aechelon IG platform architectures, JSE multi-spectral visual system database files currently being used by PAX and SIMAF can only be read by the Aechelon Technologies architecture. Aechelon Technologies has no authorized resellers.
