Synopsis for MK22 Nozzles Requirement

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NWSC IHD) has a requirement for Nozzles for use in fleet-deliverable MK22 MOD4 Rocket Motors.

The contractor shall manufacture the following Nozzles over a three (3) year period:

• Nozzles, 5,110 maximum quantity, over 3 year ordering period.

A first article sample of 10 each Nozzles and 10 each Nozzle Tensile samples will be required prior to the first delivery of any production hardware. The first article units shall be fully representative of those proposed for production, and demonstrate the adequacy and suitability of the Contractor's processes and procedures in complying with the requirements set forth by the drawings and specifications.

This requirement is being issued as a Small Business Set-Aside. The method of Source Selection will be based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). The NAICS code is 332999, the size standard is 750 employees, and the PSC is 1340. The National Stock Number (NSN)/Local Stock Number (LSN) is assigned as: 1340016410902

The resulting contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Supply type contract.

Once the solicitation has been issued on the Internet, the contract specialist will send an email to the registered requestors informing them that the solicitation is now available for downloading off the internet.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be posted on the System for Award Management (SAM) database via the website https://sam.gov/content/home with a projected release of FY22 Quarter 3. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE IN ELECTRONIC FORMAT ONLY. Paper copies of the solicitation and amendment(s) will not be provided.

Offeror(s) are required to complete their registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database via the website https://sam.gov/content/home. Failure to register in SAM makes an offeror ineligible for award of DoD contracts.
