Synopsis for X-Ray Preventative Maintenance

Background
The Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD) in Richmond, Kentucky, is responsible for the renovation of 105MM/155MM rounds through a recap process. A critical component of this renovation is the Digital Radiographic Imaging (X-Ray) inspection of processed rounds. To ensure operational efficiency and prevent production downtime, regular preventive maintenance and on-call support for unscheduled repairs are essential. The Government has determined that only VJ Technologies (VJT), the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the X-Ray system, can provide the necessary specialized maintenance services.

Work Details
The contractor will perform maintenance and repair services for the Digital Radiographic Imaging (X-Ray) System at BGAD. Key tasks include:

1. Providing preventive maintenance services and timely repair services for the X-Ray system on an on-call basis.

2. Troubleshooting and repairing X-ray producing equipment as needed, with established labor, travel, per diem rates, and parts purchase allowances.

3. Maintaining a log of hours spent on repairs and preventive maintenance activities, with documentation provided monthly to BGAD's Point of Contact (POC).

4. Offering live customer service via a telephone help desk available during business hours, with a qualified technician responding within one hour and on-site support initiated within two hours if needed.

5. Ensuring technicians can work unescorted in restricted areas by passing background checks and familiarizing themselves with BGAD's radiation safety program.

6. Consulting with BGAD subject matter experts to identify spare parts for inventory based on historical data of parts replaced.
