Description

The purpose of this fixed price contract is to obtain Pool Maintenance Services for real property owned or managed by the U.S. Government at U.S. Embassy Nairobi.

The contractor shall maintain the existing and fully functioning swimming pools in a manner to guarantee safety of users comfort and ensure adherence to the USA standards Approved American National Standards (ANSI) American National Standard for Water Quality in Public Pools and SPAs ( ANSI/APSP-11 2009) as provided in the appendix 1 (one) in regard to chemical balance, general operations, and condition of all installed features currently in place and those that may be introduced within the swimming pool scope.

The contract will be for a one-year period from the date of the contract award, with four one-year options.

The Contractor shall furnish all managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel that are necessary to accomplish the work in this contract. Contractor employees shall be on site only for contractual duties and not for other business purposes.

Work Details

2. Developing a clear understanding of the scope of work and addressing challenges such as weather, local regulations, material handling, and minimizing disruption to embassy operations.

3. Implementing a methodology compliant with site-specific conditions including:
- A quality control plan and operational schedule favorable to embassy operations.
- Clearly defined measurement procedures and schedules.
- An Activity Hazards Analysis (AHA) proposal as per ANSI/APSP-11 2009 guidelines.

4. Understanding U.S. Embassy requirements including proposed decor options and project implementation feedback.

5. Ensuring quality service through subcontractor oversight, applicable insurance policies, and effective project management.

6. Providing a past performance record demonstrating quality of services provided under previous contracts, compliance with contract terms, management effectiveness, adaptability to unexpected difficulties, and business integrity.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for one year from the date of award with four additional one-year options.
