Sustaining Engineering Support Services for E-6B Mission Avionics Systems (MAS)   2

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD awarded a sole-source contract N0001922C0014 to Rockwell Collins now Collins Aerospace (RCI), Oklahoma City, OK 73101 for Sustaining Engineering Support Services for E-6B Mission Avionics Systems (MAS).

This acquisition was pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Collins Aerospace is the only company that has the necessary specification, trained organization and depot staff, depot technical data, and depot level repair experience for Navy E-6B aircraft.
