Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to procure surgical laser rental services for the Kansas City VA Medical Center (KCVAMC). The goal of this contract is to provide comprehensive surgical laser support to facilitate complex surgical procedures, which are essential for precision ablation across various clinical applications. This requirement includes the provision of laser equipment, accessories, and qualified technician services on an as-needed basis.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide the following equipment and services: Rentals of medical laser equipment, disposables, certified and credentialed technicians to operate the equipment. Equipment types include 120H Holmium Laser with Moses Technology, YAG laser source, CO₂ and CO₂ Direct Line of Sight laser systems, GreenLight laser systems, KTP laser systems, and lithotripsy laser systems. Accessories and supplies required include laser fibers, handpieces, instruments, and other necessary accessories. Services include qualified technician support for equipment setup, operation, maintenance documentation for all equipment used, delivery, setup, and removal of equipment per procedure schedule. Services will be provided on a case-by-case basis during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) and must be requested by the OR Scheduler or authorized designee. The contractor is responsible for timely drop-off and setup of equipment prior to treatment and removal after the procedure.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a five-year ordering period starting from April 1, 2026.
