Background
The U.S. Embassy in Nepal is seeking to replace its non-functional 20kVA Riello UPS system, which has been bypassed for over two years due to inadequate battery backup capabilities. An assessment identified the need for new Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems to ensure continuous power protection for embassy operations.

The goal of this contract is to procure, install, and commission two Eaton 9355 15kVA Tower UPS units or equivalent, providing reliable power protection for critical loads at the embassy's chancery building.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and transportation necessary to complete the following tasks:

1. Equipment Procurement: Procure two Eaton 9355 15kVA Tower UPS units or equivalent with specifications including operation at 1,400 meters elevation, input voltage of 400V and 50Hz frequency, internal battery cabinets, parallel configuration capability, a parallel communication kit for synchronization, seismic mounting kits for earthquake safety in Kathmandu, and all necessary cables and accessories.

2. Pre-Installation Requirements: Conduct a power quality analysis of incoming power at the installation site; inspect the installation location for adequate space and structural capacity; repair or replace the non-functional ventilation fan; verify proper cable sizing and overcurrent protection.

3. Installation and Configuration: Install both UPS units according to manufacturer guidelines; secure units with seismic mounting kits; configure parallel operation including load balancing and redundancy settings; connect critical loads to UPS output; install monitoring interfaces.

4. Testing and Commissioning: Perform comprehensive testing including factory acceptance testing prior to shipment and site acceptance testing covering input/output verification, load transfer testing, redundancy failover testing, battery discharge tests, alarm verification, and documentation of test results.

5. Training: Provide training on operation and maintenance of the installed systems.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a one-year period from the date of award with four optional years.

Bidder Requirements
