Supply and Install Vault Toilet at Joshua Tree

Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation to support the installation of a double vault restroom at the Twin Tanks parking area in Joshua Tree National Park, located in Twentynine Palms, California. The goal of this contract is to provide a necessary facility that meets federal specifications and enhances visitor experience in the park.

Work Details
The contractor is required to supply, deliver, and install one (1) double vault, precast concrete restroom. An acceptable product example is the CXT Tioga Double Vault Restroom or an approved equal. The restroom must include the following features:

- **Doors**: 3’-0” x 6’-8” x 1 ¾” thick, 18-gauge steel flush doors with commercial grade heavy-duty cylindrical locksets and lever handles.

- **Windows**: At least one window per toilet made of 3/16” Lexan polycarbonate with clear/opaque glazing.

- **Signs**: UNISEX signage compliant with ADA-ABAAS standards mounted on the exterior wall; interior signage stating “PLEASE DO NOT PUT TRASH IN TOILETS. IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO REMOVE- Thank you.”

- **Toilet Riser**: Must meet ADA standards with a heavy-duty seat and lid.

- **Grab Bars**: Stainless steel, 18-gauge materials with a non-slip finish, mounted to ADA standards.

- **Toilet Paper Dispensers**: Bar-type constructed of stainless steel designed to hold three standard rolls of toilet paper.

- **Concrete Wall Texture**: Simulated Barnwood-Sandstone.

- **Roof**: Simulated cedar shake textured roof in Sandstone/Teakwood color.

- **Double Vault Capacities**: Each vault must have a capacity of 1000 gallons with a double plastic vault liner.

- **Vault Cleanouts**: Raised steel frame measuring approximately 21”x 34”, with a diamond plate steel door that has a continuous rubber gasket for an airtight seal.

- **Vault Vent Pipe**: A 12” diameter polyethylene plastic pipe that is UV stabilized HDPE.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from September 15, 2025, to January 13, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Twin Tanks parking area in Joshua Tree National Park, Twentynine Palms, California (Riverside County).
