Super Hornet Procurement B, Package 005 (Organizational Level Maintenance Hangar) and Package 001A/B (Base Infrastructure)   4

Amendment to pre-solicitation notice for constructing the Super Hornet B project at Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait. The Super Hornet Procurement B project is a programmed Military Construction (MILCON) project.

Project Scope: Design-Bid-Build construction contract for a new Organizational Level Maintenance Hangar with eight aircraft bays and associated shop spaces. The project also includes construction of an adjacent Organizational Level Corrosion Control Hangar with two additional aircraft bays (one for corrosion control and one for a wash bay), associated corrosion control shop spaces, vehicle parking sunshades, related site improvements, and incidental related work. This contract also inlcudes site grading and utility infrastructure improvements, pump house, electrical switching station and substation, power check pad, compass calibration pad, aircraft taxiways, related site improvements, and incidental related work.

The overall Period of Performance (PoP) shall be six hundred and twenty five (625) calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP) for the entire scope of work.

This project is located at the Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait.

The Design-Bid-Build (D-B-B) Solicitation is scheduled for release on or about June 5, 2021. Your proposal is due on or about July 5, 2021. Contract award is scheduled on or about August 31, 2021.

Set asides and codes: The project is classified through the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) under code 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a small business size of $39.5million.

Be advised that this is a pre-solicitation notice and is not an RFP, nor does it restrict the Government from utilizing a different acquisition approach to award any or all resultant contracts. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice.
