Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers requires removal of a sunken recreational vessel located outside of the T.J. O’Brien Lock at 2515 E 134 St, Chicago, IL 60633. The contractor is solely responsible for the location, removal, and salvaging of the vessel, as well as any debris associated with the vessel. The contractor must minimize chemical leakage that may occur during this work, and if any leakage occurs, the contractor is responsible for containing contamination and any necessary cleanup.
The removal of the vessel includes lifting the vessel, towing to land, and transportation to an appropriate salvaging facility.
The work shall be completed by the contractor within 30 calendar days of contract award.

Work Details
The contractor shall remove and salvage a sunken vessel located outside of the lock chamber. The exact coordinates of the vessel’s location are 41°39'02.8"N 87°33'56.6"W.
Work shall include lifting the vessel from the water, and/or towing it to the disposal facility of Contractor’s choice, as well as confirming that the boat is salvaged according to federal and local laws.

Period of Performance
This contract has a completion date of 30 calendar days from date of award.

Place of Performance
The contractor is to complete the work at T.J. O’Brien Lock, 2515 E 134th St., Chicago, IL 60633.
